The Dot and the Line: A story well told

A perfect idea and execution can communicate things as complex as love when a straight line falls in love with a dot.

The animated movie titled “The Dot and the Line: a Romance in Lower Mathematics” from 1965 was directed by Juck Jones (author of Bugs Bunny and Road Runner). The film retells the story of the book with the same title, which was originally written by American architect and children’s book author Norton Juster. The movie, which ends with an interesting moral, won an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 1966.
